Hon. Nathan Mihara (Ret.) will discuss the types of negative bias (overt, implied, implicit or unconscious bias) that affect us in the legal profession, and suggest ways to reduce the likelihood that such bias will adversely affect your practice of law. We also examine aspects of certain types of positive bias that will enhance professional relationships at all levels, such as a bias for something that can bring understanding, healing, and hope.
