MEDIATION AND SETTLEMENT EXPERIENCE

William R. Strickland, Esq. possesses extensive experience mediating disputes, built over a long, distinguished legal career. He has successfully mediated thousands of disputes over the last 15 years. He has resolved complex cases involving a wide range of disputes, including vehicular accident injuries, product liability, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, bad faith, premises liability, construction defect, real estate disputes, business disputes, worker compensation issues, medical/insurance liens, insurance disputes, public entity liability, and legal and medical malpractice.

Mr. Strickland has handled hundreds of cases as an advocate in court settlement conferences, mediations, and cases before a Special Master. He was a participant and initiating factor in the first Alameda County Early Settlement Disposition Program, Federal Court Management Plan, and Friday settlement trial call. He has also participated in all Bay Area Court early settlement programs and served as a Contra Costa County EASE program panelist, Alameda County SETL program panelist, San Francisco County settlement panelist, and Marin County settlement panelist.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Over the course of his decades of legal practice, Mr. Strickland has worked in general practice and criminal law, progressing to litigation practice in personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, toxic torts, wrongful termination, construction defect, bad faith, business, contract, and governmental entity disputes as partner in Strickland, Haapala, Altura, Thompson & Abern.
