A graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Law School, Michael J. Brady, Esq. spent 35 years at Ropers Majeski Kohn and Bentley before becoming a full-time ADR professional. Mr. Brady was in charge of the firm’s Appellate and Insurance Coverage Departments with more than 30 attorneys working in those areas.
Mr. Brady has specialized in all areas of appellate practice in the state and federal courts. He has also for many years specialized in insurance coverage matters (all lines) and disputes concerning bad faith or extra-contractual liability. He has also testified as an expert witness in appellate maters, insurance coverage and bad faith matters.
Mr. Brady has published more than 50 articles in his areas of specialization and has chaired seminars and for more than 40 years has lectured on recent developments in the law.
Mr. Brady is Past-President of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and a past member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel as well. He is a past member of the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers and is also a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, where he was chairman of the insurance coverage and bad faith committees. He is also a past member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) where he served as chairman of the Reinsurance Committee.
Mr. Brady has participated in mediating and arbitrating numerous cases within his areas of expertise.
